One of the little known secrets about solar energy is you can build solar water heater systems yourself using cheap common materials. These systems can be used for your household hot water, to heat a pool, a hot tub, to heat your home or any other use.

Up to one third of a home’s energy bill can be from heating water. This can be greatly reduced with a solar water heater system or even eliminated. When you look at the low cost of building one yourself and compare it to what you are spending every month on your energy bill it doesn’t take long to pay a solar water heater off. it’s really a no brainer.

Heating water is much more simple than generating electricity with solar energy. To generate electricity you need solar panels that are made out of more expensive materials can be costly to put together. To heat water all you have to do is leave it out in the sun. You can leave just about any substance in the sun and it will automatically absorb heat from the sun.

A solar water heater uses this same simple principal only it magnifies the process by allowing the water to absorb the sun’s energy to heat the water while insulating it so the heat will not escape. Unlike photovoltaic panels you don’t need semi conductors and other expensive materials and technology. To heat water all you need is common plumbing and building materials that you can find at your local hardware store.

I Wish I Thought About a Woodwork Guide First!

Last summer, I made an attempt to build a deck in my backyard.  I thought I was a relatively smart guy and would have no need for a woodwork guide.  Boy was I wrong!  Not only did I spend close to double what I thought, but it still isn’t finished!

A woodwork guide would have saved me the headache and heartache of trying to do this myself.  Regardless of how smart I thought I was, I didn’t know enough to build a deck from scratch.  So why did I not even consider a woodwork guide?  One word –

PRIDE

For one reason or another, I didn’t want to see like I didn’t know what I was doing.  I thought that a woodworking download would make me look weak or something.  I don’t know.  What I do know is that it was completely NOT WORTH my trouble.  I know look more silly because I have a quarter of my deck up and a bunch of 2 x 4′s sitting in my garage.  Again, who looks silly now?

A woodwork guide as I learned is not a bad thing.  It really just serves as a road map to successfully building whatever wood project you want.  After all, I still need to actually build it right?  Now that I have my woodwork guide for thousands of projects, I look back and just sort of laugh at how stupid I was!

If you are serious about building anything out of wood, please do not make the same mistake that I did by overlooking the value of a woodwork guide.  It is only going to help!  Because I am able to look at pictures and diagrams while building, I can actually visualize how this project is going to work.  Not to mention, I know exactly what I am going to need BEFORE I actually go to the store!

Take the time and find a woodwork guide that is suitable for you.  No one is going to think less of you because you had a guide throughout your project.  At the end, just think of how proud you will be of what YOU have just built!

Not having a woodwork guide when I first started building my deck was a HUGE mistake on my end. Now that I’m almost done with it, I am moving on to the rest of my “unfinished projects”! With the use of my Woodwork Guide I know that I can get them done. I made a short video showing the guide that I use. Feel free to take a look at – Woodwork Guide.

The concept of going green with regards to the use of energy has become increasingly popular in recent years. Solar power in particular has become a much researched avenue for the purpose of generating renewable energy. Since this is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly source of energy it can serve as the ideal alternative to energy derived from fossil fuels for powering homes.

In order to successfully generate solar energy it is necessary to make use of solar panels. By incurring the initial expenditure of acquiring solar panels and setting up a complete alternative energy system homeowners will be able to save up loads in the future. In recent years the science and support mechanism for generating solar power has progressed by great leaps and bounds. This development gives homeowners the opportunity to completely get off the grid and make use of solar panels to bring power to their homes. Getting off the grid means you no longer have to pay any power bills which works to the benefit of the homeowners in the long run. On the other end the environment benefits as solar energy does not release any toxic material into the environment and nor does it strain the Earth for its resources.

Reliability is one of the main concerns of homeowners that are introduced to the idea of solar powered homes. Most homeowners fear that they would run out of power if the solar panels do not receive adequate sunlight for a few days. This would obviously result in serious problems for the homeowner. However such is not the case as the latest solar panels have the ability to generate and store large volumes of solar power. During cloudy days your house will receive its power from the stored energy in the solar panel system. Hence there is no need to worry with respect to the reliability of solar energy.

The majority of homeowners would be more than willing to make a transition towards renewable energy. With the issues of reliability handled convincingly the only other factor restricting people from going green is the cost involved in the process. While it is true that homeowners will have to make an initial investment into setting up a solar panel system in their homes, the fact of the matter is that the savings that you will be making by not having to pay your monthly power tariffs will more than balance it off. If you can manage to cook up the initial investment you will actually be helping yourself save up on your monthly expenditure.

For the DIY type people there is also an opportunity to build your own solar panels. The Internet is loaded with many comprehensive plans that can help you to develop your own solar panel system. On the other hand solar panels especially developed for residential properties are now easily available in the market at reasonable prices enabling homeowners to have solar power for their homes.

It seems like everyone’s going green these days. Want to go green? Click here to discover more about how you can make use of green energy.

It’s difficult for many people to envision being free from monthly energy bills. Most don’t accept the idea that permanent magnet generators can actually perform as promised. It is truly possibly to produce enough energy using only magnets to completely power your house?

Experts in the fields of electricity and energy have devoted countless hours into creating a system which can live up to what people expect. Wind turbines and solar panels are familiar objects to many, but the permanent magnet generator isn’t an item that is quite as well known.

Using solar panels to produce energy is typically the first choice for those who want to provide free energy to their house. Solar panels will not benefit you very much if you do not have adequate space on your roof, or enough space within the confines of your backyard.

Space is not a concern when you’re using a permanent magnet generator. Because these generators are small in size, they won’t take up much space. They can typically be kept within your house. Many people choose to keep their in the garage.

While wind turbines and solar panels require an outdoor setup, permanent magnet generators are not susceptible to adverse weather or other environmental conditions. Because of this, is costs very little to maintain this type of generator.

Should you decide to construct and install a generator of your own, it’s completely capable of providing power for your entire home. A permanent magnetic generator operates by manipulating the movement of magnets using other magnets, creating perpetual motion within the motor. After this movement has started, it will not stop.

Due to this motion, your generator will create an increasing quantity of energy which can provide energy for your house. A generator can even produce more power than your whole household typically uses, also. This is because your permanent magnet generator never stops moving, and therefore never stops producing power.

So, if the question is ‘Can a permanent magnet generator actually provide energy for my entire house?”, the answer is yes. Just about anyone who can read a set of instructions is capable of assembling their own magnetic generator at home, also.

Explore more about the new energy focus, the Zero Point Energy. Acquire wealth of information on how magnetic generators work, benefits and many other informative tips on saving electricity. Learn how to build a magnetic generator today; Master the true knowledge of generating free energy.

Regardless of your experience level with do-it-yourself endeavors, the DIY solar water heater is a beneficial project for you to take on. Considering the kind of project you have in mind, there are varying degrees of difficulty. No matter how much experience you have, you can identify a job which will satisfy your requirements and be apropos to your knowledge level.

Various choices of DIY solar water heaters are available with the most basic being the batch water heaters. The design of these units is such that all parts required are readily obtainable from your local hardware store. Among the several choices are assorted designs which may be altered to meet your unique situation or your personal preferences.

The batch water heater employs a water tank which is positioned such that it is heated by the energy of the sun’s rays. Its tank is attached to the plumbing system of the home. The idea is to make the most efficient use possible of the sun’s energy, so you may have to be somewhat creative.

First, your water tank should be painted with a black matte paint. Since we know that a black color absorbs light, this will increase the ability of the tank to absorb and retain the greatest amount of solar energy. To make further accommodation you should check on whatever is useful and use your creativity. Numerous homeowners will put the batch water heaters into a simple glass box. Doing so will insulate the hot water heaters which will aid in the retention of heat.

There are those who will be more imaginative. For example, they will install adjustable mirrors in calculated positions which surround the water tank. Rays of light from the sun will be directed onto the tank, resulting in a greater area being heated. Mirror systems are the most productive systems to use since the greatest area of the tank is used, which captures the most energy from the sun.

But should you reside in a cold climate, you need to understand that the batch water heater is likely not your best choice. With extended periods of sub-freezing temperature probable, the batch system will not be a practical option. A cold environment with freezing temperature will result in breakage of the batch heaters. To protect them from the elements, batch heaters in cold climates need to be emptied throughout the winter season.

So, should you be located in a cold climate, you need to examine the other alternatives offered for a DIY solar water heater. One such substitute system is the closed loop system. In a closed loop system, the water remains in motion which keeps it from freezing and the resultant damage. A drawback to the closed loop system is that it is more technical in nature and thus needs a more expansive knowledge of plumbing and should only be tried by those with an extensive DIY background.

A major benefit of these systems is the reduction in energy costs they provide and the fact that there is an advantage for the environment in that you have a smaller carbon footprint. Many DIY solar water heaters may be built at a cost of less than $1200, which signifies a short investment recoupment period, not to mention the fun you will have constructing the system yourself.

Bill Cashey is an engineer and author in the fields of electrical engineering. He enjoys writing about the topic and keeping up with current events and research in the area of using a solar hot water heater.

Wooden playhouses are a great source of enjoyment for your children/grandchildren and also for you. Watching children’s imaginations run wild when playing in a wooden playhouse is a site to see and hear. You just can’t beat a child’s imagination. Wooden playhouses are easy to build especially if you have already built a wooden garden shed.

WHERE DO I LOCATE THE WOODEN PLAYHOUSE IN MY YARD – The best suggestion I have for you is to locate the wooden playhouse in a location where you can look out your house window and keep an eye on the children. Another option is to place the wooden playhouse near your wooden garden shed or to attach it to your wooden garden shed. This allows you to work in your wooden garden shed and keep an eye on the kids at the same time.

WHAT FEATURES SHOULD I USE ON THE WOODEN PLAYHOUSE – Because a wooden playhouse is a down-sized wooden garden shed keep scale in mind as you build the wooden playhouse. If you add window boxes for example they will need to be smaller than the ones you would put on your wooden garden shed. Doors and windows or door and window openings will also be smaller. Be sure to put in some wood door type windows that the kids can open and close the windows. They just love being able to open and close these types of windows. If you don’t want to cover the window opening that is fine also but keep in mind that the weather will get inside the playhouse.

BENCHES AND CHAIRS FOR THE WOODEN PLAYHOUSE – Make sure you either build or purchase some wooden chairs and table to use in the wooden playhouse. Also consider making or buying some wooden benches to use for the outside or inside of the wooden garden playhouse. They will get a lot of use by the kids.

CONSIDER BUILDING A PLAYGROUND NEARBY THE WOODEN PLAYHOUSE – I have seen many homeowners put a small playground area near the wooden playhouse. Playing in the wooden playhouse or on outdoor swings or sandboxes just goes hand in hand. The children will be entertained and get exercise at the same time.

CONSIDER ADDING SOME SHUTTERS – Build some small wooden shutters or buy some at your local home improvement centers to add some finishing touches to your wooden garden sheds. They really add a lot of character to your wooden playhouse.

GIVE SOME THOUGHT TO A TWO STORY WOODEN PLAYHOUSE – Making the wooden playhouse a little taller will allow you to add a second story/loft that the kids will just love.  You could also add a small porch. Both of these additional options will make your children’s wooden playhouse unique and a pleasure for all that use or view the wooden playhouse.

WOODEN PLAYHOUSE KITS – If you do not want to build your own children’s wooden playhouse there are many styles and choices for buying wooden playhouses. At the bottom of this article there is a link to my web site where you can view wooden playhouses that you can buy online.

For more information and pictures of wooden playhouses go to http://www.wooden-garden-sheds.info and start building a wooden playhouse or buy one online.

We live in a world where green energy is becoming increasingly popular and there are reasons to introduce it to your own home or business.   One of the best ways to benefit from green energy is to install solar power. If you want to eliminate some of the cost of solar you should look at the possibility of Do-It-Yourself installation.   This review will examine the benefits of the Earth 4 Energy solar energy start-up guide and inform you on why this option is definitely worth considering.

Solar energy is natures way of harnessing heat from the sun. This natural source of energy generation has been used by human beings since ancient times and more sophisticated technologies are emerging all the time. Solar panels contain a mass of solar cells or a form of heat absorbing plates that are used to convert the Suns natural radiation into energy use for lighting or heating buildings for example. There are hundreds of green energy Do It Yourself (DIY) guides or manuals available in today’s marketplace and Earth 4 Energy is considered the first and most original of those products.

Solar power will save you money – a very tempting reason in itself. The initial cost of installation is quickly recovered by the savings you will make with lower energy bills on a monthly basis. It does not matter whether you choose a full solar panel installation or a smaller solar harnessing plan, the savings will still be considerable. A larger solar panel installation might even save your entire energy bill.

The Earth 4 Energy guide will enable you to take advantage of solar energy by giving you the latest information on the best solar technology available. The package includes everything you need to know in order to:

- Build your own solar panel from scratch

- Make your own wind turbine so you can generate electricity

- Connect all your own devices to a home power grid.

- Sell any excess electricity back to your local electricity generation company

- Plus other much needed information.

All of this information is of great assistance in guiding you in learning “how to make solar panels”.

Other great things about solar energy are the ethical benefits. If you reduce your energy consumption you help make the environment healthier for everyone.  Second, fossil fuel such as oil is declining in supply and more countries are making heavy demands on the resource. If we reduce our individual demand on fossil fuels where possible we play our part in reducing the risk of global conflict over oil.  One the best things about the sun is that it will always be there it will never run out of its ability to supply energy for all.

Finally, in a world where the cost of all other types of energy is constantly increasing having your own solar alternative makes a lot of sense.  Earth 4 Energy http://app-products-info.webs.com makes it relatively easy by giving you the know-how to Do-It-Yourself in an easy to understand way. You really do not need to be a highly proficient home-handy-man to follow the Earth 4 Energy guide. The videos explain how to assemble solar panels and other forms of green energy in clear detail. Learning “how to make solar panels”  is a skill well worth having and will benefit you well into the future.

I have a background in business as well as having worked for a boss in various employment from politics to the civil service. I am currently involved in a consultancy where I advise on business start-ups in the renewable energy and building sectors.

How warm and cozy it feels to spend those chilly winter evenings in front of the fireplace in your home!  It feels great to snuggle up in front of the burning wood while chatting with your friends or family. And now as the winter season is upon us, and the chill is in the air, it’s time that you start repairing your fire-places or start planning for installations of an outdoor fire pit to enjoy those comfy winter evenings.

Indoor fireplaces may not the ideal place to hang-out if you are having a social gathering with your family or friends. Also, owing to the permanent position of the fireplace installed in your house, you have to keep coming back to the place, whether you like it or not. But a better option in these times is a fire pit.  Unlike a fire place, they can be installed in the outdoors and enjoyed year round. There are two types of fire pits available for the outdoors – a permanent and a portable fire pit.

A permanent pit is one which has to be dug out in the soil in your backyard or garden in the winters and then wood and flammable materials be placed in the pit and a burnt so that a huge fire is made, around which you can sit, chat and enjoy. A permanent firepit is more like a bonfire that is made on outings and camping. But permanent fire pits have many disadvantages of their own. For one, they have to be dug out permanently in the ground which has to be kept until winters are gone. This sometimes disrupts the beauty of the surroundings and hence many people discourage it. Also it takes a lot of space to be made and cannot be refilled so easily thus partly ruining the backyard accents. A portable fire-pit comes very handy in these times.

A portable fire pit is very useful for making outdoor bonfires. They come in various shapes and sizes and can also beautify your backyard or garden for that matter instead of ruining its looks. It can be easily ported from one place to another and does not take much time to be installed or make a fire in. You will be amazed at the variety of firepit designs available in online stores.

Firepits can be found in different materials and in designer patios that fit your budget. They can range from the normal copper pits to cast aluminum and fuel fire pits that burn in gasoline and other different types of fuel. You can easily install them with the help of your friends in your backyard or any outdoors that you like.

If you are interested in an outdoor barbeque get-together, then you can go for similar fire pits where you will be able to roast hot-dogs and marshmallows with sticks. If you want to convert your fire pit into a grill, then all you need to do is just place a grilling plate on top of your pit and put to use your grilling skills while others can snuggle up around the fire. So, you can choose from a wide variety of portable fire pits for your use.

Amber Liddell writes for the website Serenityhealth.com, PremiereFirePits.com and the WaterFountainPlace.com. Your online leaders in fire pits, water fountains and relaxation products. Find all types of water fountains, bean bag chairs, wind chimes, nature alarm clocks and much more.
